AHIC workgroup submits public health recommendations

An AHIC workgroup recommends national, state and local public health departments communicate to increase interoperability, functionality and security standards. The group also called for upgrading CDC outbreak management systems, harmonizing laboratory systems and enhancing the national identification system for health care providers.
