Feds give Houston company approval for Oregon LNG plant

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Thursday granted approval for Houston-based NorthernStar Natural Gas to build a liquefied natural gas terminal on the Columbia River in Oregon. NorthernStar still needs state approval for the proposed $650 million Bradwood Landing project, which would import liquefied natural gas and warm it for distribution through pipelines.
