Few chemists are taught about how processes affect environment

Chemists and chemical engineers learn how to do things such as synthesize substances, but most don't know how the processes affect people or the environment because not one university in the U.S. teaches even basic toxicology or other environmental sciences to those studying for traditional chemistry degrees. And only a few universities teach chemists how to make chemicals that are environmentally friendly.
