McCain blasts SEC's Cox for doing too little during crisis

Christopher Cox, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, has defended his and the agency's role as the financial crisis continues, but critics, including Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, said missed opportunities abound. "The chairman of the SEC serves at the appointment of the president and has betrayed the public's trust. If I were president today, I would fire him," McCain said.
