RIM eyes new markets as Verizon Wireless teases "Storm"

On a day when Research in Motion's co-CEO heralded the launch of the BlackBerry Bold smartphone in India as the first step in a broader Asian expansion, Verizon Wireless' Web site teased the introduction of the long-anticipated BlackBerry Storm handset seen by some as the most marketable rival yet to the iPhone. In India, RIM's Jim Balsillie said the company might build new facilities in the country and asserted the company has seen little impact so far from the global economic crisis.
