Corporate disclosures on climate change are on the rise, group says

Despite difficulties in establishing a global climate framework, more companies are starting to report their greenhouse emissions. A group of companies, which includes German chemical majors BASF and Bayer, is leading the initiative in measuring and disclosing carbon footprints, according to the Carbon Disclosure Project's latest annual report. "Companies globally are seizing commercial carbon opportunities, often acting ahead of any policy requirements," said Paul Dickinson, CEO of CDP.
