Survey: Nurse-faculty vacancy rates are increasing

Job openings for nursing faculty increased from 6.6% in the previous academic year to 6.9% in the 2010-2011 academic year, according to a survey by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. The faculty shortage problem is negatively affecting efforts to address an increasing demand for nurses in the U.S., researchers said.
