More family physicians take part in group appointments

The rate of family physicians who provide at least some health care services through group appointments increased from 6% in 2005 to 13% in 2010, according to the American Academy of Family Physicians. Group appointments show efficacy in medical care for a variety of populations and enable physicians to see more patients, provide more care and increase revenues, experts said.
