Study ties yogurt intake during pregnancy to baby's asthma

Children born to women who consumed yogurt daily during pregnancy were 1.6 times more likely to develop asthma and hay fever by age 7, a study of almost 62,000 women in the Netherlands found. Researchers said the findings, which will be presented at the annual meeting of the European Respiratory Society, don't indicate a direct causal association, and further investigation is under way.
