Retailers make backup plans in case of a port strike

Retailers are making alternate arrangements to get their holiday merchandise shipments in the event that some 15,000 to 20,000 members of the International Longshoreman's Association strike East and Gulf Coast ports when their contract expires on Sept. 30. Some merchants have already acted on their backup plans, said NRF's Jon Gold.
