Commercial propane mower market share could triple by 2016, thanks to propane distributors

Propane distributors are promoting the advantages of propane-powered lawn mowers in a bid to boost demand for the fuel, according to this article. These efforts could increase the market share for commercial propane mowers from 1% to 3% by 2016, according to the Propane Education and Research Council. The mowers last longer and have lower emissions than gasoline-powered counterparts, but they can cost up to 10% more, said Ivan Giraldo, president of CleanScapes, a landscape maintenance firm.
