Plaid's API offers high-context banking data

Plaid is positioning itself as the go-to banking data application programming interface, Anthony Ha writes. So far the API has been used to build apps for accounting, automated taxes and expense management. "We've found a lot of the big financial institutions to actually be quite forward-thinking in how their users access and utilize their data -- and it's really exciting to be there to help enable that," co-founder Zach Perret says.
