Rose: BNSF plans $400M investment to expand crude-by-rail capacity

BNSF will spend $400 million over 18 months to bolster its crude-by-rail capacity for petroleum-product shipments from North Dakota and other states, said BNSF CEO Matthew Rose. The Class I's plan is part of a $4.3 billion investment in infrastructure upgrades for this year. "We understand the mission of oil producers, and rail is a good means to complete the job," Rose said.
