SCE&G's proposed rate increase gets S.C. regulators' approval

South Carolina Electric and Gas' proposal to slightly raise its power rates to help pay for the costs associated with the V.C. Summer expansion project in South Carolina secured approval from the state's Public Service Commission. SCE&G is shouldering 55% of the project, which is expected to cost about $10 billion.
