Social studies teacher brings globe-trotting experiences to students via video

Students of Lakeview High School in Battle Creek, Mich., have been exploring world history through the travels of social studies teacher Scott Durham, who is on a four-month global tour as part of the Delia M. & Dora D. DeMaso International Study Fellowship. Durham has been documenting his travels -- including visits to concentration camps in Germany -- with blogs, photos and videos, and has been leading classroom lessons via video conferences on Google Hangouts with co-teacher Michael Nicolich onsite with students.
