Americans embracing at least some form of vegetarianism

Although many Americans still believe an all-vegetarian diet requires supplements, more consumers are at least reducing the amount of meat in their diet in an effort to be healthier. Major consumer packaged goods companies, including Kraft Foods, Kellogg and General Mills, have taken notice of the trend and have either developed meat substitutes or begun acquiring natural food companies.
