Army training complex project rises at quick pace

The new basic training complex at the Fort Jackson army facility in South Carolina, built by Clark Design/Build, was erected in less than two years and is "a stellar example of a design-build effort," one project manager said. The massive complex needed to meet new force-protection and antiterrorism standards, which "had significant impact on the structural-steel framing systems for the barracks buildings," the project manager said.
