Need for help with care of disabled children grows

Parents of physically or mentally disabled children are resorting to increasingly extreme measures to get assistance for their children. Group homes around the nation are full and an estimated 80,000 developmentally disabled people are on waiting lists for spots in the homes or for in-home help, and as parents age, their need for help increases as it becomes harder to keep up with caretaking.
