Service lets customers avoid lines by texting

Though still a limited service, some restaurant customers in New York City and other large metropolitan areas now have the option of pre-ordering meals, pizza and coffee over the Internet or via text messaging. The service has had little fanfare in the past, but startups including MyTango and Mobo Systems' gomobo.com are hoping expanding the available areas will help spread the word and encourage growth.
