Amazon transitions from bookshop to general store

Jeffrey P. Bezos founded Amazon.com as an online bookstore 15 years ago. Now, the company is about to hit a significant milestone: Its percentage of worldwide sales soon will no longer be dominated by media products, such as books, music and movies. Amazon is quickly transitioning into a global, online general store.
