$10M settlement is made in race-discrimination suit

A federal judge has given preliminary approval for about 300 current and former Roadway Express and YRC employees to receive $10 million as part of a race-discrimination lawsuit. The company also must put anti-discrimination policies in place. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed the suit in 2006, alleging African-American employees received harsher treatment and more difficult work than white counterparts.
