Opinion: NTSB should enact zero-tolerance alcohol policy

The National Transportation Safety Board should enact a zero-tolerance alcohol policy for commercial airline pilots, writes the Daily American editorial board. The board noted that an American Airlines pilot in Amsterdam was recently caught with a blood-alcohol reading above the legal limit. "With the alertness needed to control a large aircraft, no levels of intoxication can be tolerated," the board writes.
