10-year fracture risk higher in diabetes patients, experts say

Diabetes was found to increase a 10-year risk of having major osteoporotic fracture and related mortality in patients, Canadian experts reported at the annual meeting of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research. However, few diabetes patients receive osteoporosis treatment, the lead researcher said.
