CMS issues guidance on ICD-10 implementation

The CMS has released a guidance document meant to help providers and other stakeholders make the transition to ICD-10, which is required by Oct. 1, 2013. The document offers guidelines on general ICD-10 reporting, data on claims submissions and a set of claims that cover the implementation date.
