How to give medication to pets

It can be difficult to give pets their pills, but there are some tricks to try including hiding the pills in treats or other food, directly putting the pill into the pet's mouth, and using commercial products made to house medications. Whatever the technique, it is important to remain calm and use as little restraint as possible. It's also a good idea to ask a veterinarian if any other form of the medication is available such as transdermal thyroid medication, a cream applied to the skin, available for cats.
