Whittier Elementary School in West Valley City, Utah, opened a new special-education wing designed to foster the school's culture of inclusion. The wing includes therapy rooms, a nurse's office and six classrooms that will serve up to 100 students in special education, plus students in general education who have special needs. "We're calling it 'wraparound services' because it's not just this wing where special needs are being met," principal Shauna Casaday said. "It's throughout the whole school. But this wing has all of the additional resources to meet the needs of the students."
