Parents praise retailers' less-revealing children's looks

Children's fashions at stores including Gap Kids, Lands' End and Justice have taken a turn for the demure, with longer skirts and fitted-but-not-skintight pants that please parents and children alike. "Moms tell us they want their kids to look like children, not adults. That is translating into higher rises on jeans, and skorts, which have four-way stretch shorts under skirts," said Lands' End spokesman Todd Christiansen.
