Samsung will let developers in on bada operating system

Samsung Electronics says it will allow third-party developers to write applications for bada, the South Korean manufacturer's in-house mobile operating system. The initiative, which will kick in next year, is aimed partly at reducing Samsung's reliance on Android software, the subject of an increasing number of patent lawsuits.
