Apple added the app to its newly released iOS 6 software as well. Nokia has moved to exploit the situation by touting its popular digital mapping platform on its website, and Google issued an update to its Android-based app. Google also said that it plans to offer a Google Maps app for iOS 6, but it did not provide a time frame.
