Research shows asthma app is accurate in monitoring lung function

Researchers from Seattle Children's Hospital, the University of Washington and UW Medicine have created the SpiroSmart asthma application to help patients easily track lung function using a smartphone. Users can blow into their smartphone to get a reading. Research findings presented at an international conference indicated that the app satisfies the standards for accuracy of the medical community.
