FINRA's broker compensation rule heads to SEC for review

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's proposed rule requiring brokers to tell clients the compensation they received when their employers recruited them is one step closer to being implemented. FINRA's board voted to send the controversial proposal to the Securities and Exchange Commission, which has the final authority to approve or reject it.
