House holds hearing on terrorism insurance program

The House Committee on Financial Services held a hearing Thursday to consider the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002, which is due to sunset in 2014. After the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the terrorism risk insurance market disappeared, causing the government to step in. The hearing looked at the merits of continuing the program.
