How some schools encourage older students to eat breakfast

Older students are more likely to skip breakfast, researchers have found -- citing a lack of hunger and time. Research shows that about one-third of adolescents skip breakfast daily -- and 60% miss the morning meal a few times each week. To encourage more students to eat breakfast, school nutrition professionals in the Anoka-Hennepin School District 11 in Minnesota offer breakfast programs at every school, including grab-and-go meals and, in some cases, in-class meals.
