Ocular gets mixed FDA panel review for post-surgical sealant

An FDA panel has voted in favor of recommending the safety of Ocular Therapeutix's ReSure Sealant, a topical hydrogel designed to temporarily close corneal incisions in patients who have undergone intraocular lens placement or cataract surgery. The panel, however, reached a split decision on the device's efficacy as well as on whether its benefits surpass the risks.
