Sens. Murray, Cantwell unveil maritime bill to fund port infrastructure

The Maritime Goods Movement Act for the 21st Century, introduced by Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell -- both Washington state Democrats -- would help fund ports. It would do away with an "outdated" law and should remove the incentive to ship goods "through other ports in Canada and Mexico and then [transport] those goods into our country via truck and rail," according to the bill.
