Va. port hits record TEU, rail volume in August

The volume of 20-foot-equivalent units handled at the Port of Virginia increased "by more than 5%" in August compared with the same month last year, said Rodney Oliver, Virginia Port Authority interim executive director. "We're also setting records in rail volume," Oliver said. "August was the first time we've handled more than 40,000 containers in a month."
