Atkins Foundation funds vegetable product placement study

An "Elmo/Broccoli Study" report to the Federal Trade Commission Workshop on Childhood Obesity this summer indicated that at least 50% of children would choose broccoli over chocolate when the vegetable had a sticker featuring the Sesame Workshop TV company's popular Elmo character. Now the Dr. Robert C. Atkins Foundation is providing $73,000 to the "Sesame Street" producers to study the impact of vegetable product placement in episodes.
