Colorado DOT asks state for $91.3 million to fund bridge repair

Transportation officials in Colorado have requested $91.3 million to replace or repair "structurally deficient" or "functionally obsolete" bridges. The number of bridges that need to be replaced in Colorado has increased by nearly one-third since 2003. The Colorado Department of Transportation said repair and replacement projects could go unfunded without more state aid.
