ISS tells Kyphon shareholders to OK Medtronic deal

International Shareholder Services has advised Kyphon shareholders to accept the $3.9 billion merger offer by Medtronic, Kyphon said in a statement. ISS also suggested that the Oct. 16 special meeting of Kyphon stockholders be adjourned if there aren't enough votes to approve the proposed merger, to provide more time to solicit proxies.
