Passenger rights provisions included in approved House FAA bill

The FAA funding bill passed by the House Thursday includes wording that requires airlines and airports to have in place plans to provide basic amenities to passengers caught in tarmac delays. Failure to follow through on the plans could result in fines levied by the DOT. The White House has threatened to veto the bill.
