Hurricane Ike forces second look at coastal development

The debate over coastal development intensifies in Texas as some wonder whether it is wise to rebuild cities destroyed by Hurricane Ike. Floodwaters from the hurricane washed away homes three blocks from the beach in Galveston County. "Anyone who wants to buy on the West End of Galveston Island should be shown a picture of the Bolivar Peninsula after Ike," said environmental attorney Jim Blackburn.
