Air Force provided liftoff for hot air balloon pilot

New Mexico pilot Bob Mass enjoys spending his retirement in a hot air balloon, and he participated in the 18th annual White Sands Balloon Invitational. "I picked up ballooning after I got out of the Air Force as a way to keep air under my butt," said Mass, who piloted T-38s for four years at Holloman Air Force Base. Albuquerque resident Mass tries to pilot his balloon, named Pita's Kiss, every weekend.
