Distressed commercial property still not attracting buyers

Investors are wondering when banks holding bad commercial property loans will give up on their "pretend and extend" strategy and start putting properties on the market, a survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers found. "Investors seem to be surprised at the lack of quality buying opportunities, given the problems of the financial markets and the continued weakening of the industry fundamentals," said Susan Smith, the survey's editor-in-chief.
