FDA grants spur development of medical devices for children

The FDA said it will award $2 million in grants to three researchers in Michigan, Massachusetts and California to help them develop pediatric medical devices. The scientists will collaborate with the agency to devise prototypes of the devices and find companies to produce and market the devices for children.
