Florida stadium financing plan raises concerns

The new Florida Marlins stadium in Miami will include a retractable roof, 50 luxury suites and four parking garages. The stadium will cost $645 million. Miami and Miami-Dade County will cover 75% of the cost but will receive no revenue from the stadium. Supporters of the stadium say it will create 2,700 jobs and add up to $300 million to the economy, but some critics question that forecast as well as the investment of public funds in the project.
