Huawei will start 56 Mbps service for HSPA+ service

China's Huawei will exploit multi-carrier and MIMO, or multiple-input-multiple-output, technologies to offer speeds of up to 56 megabits per second for its HSPA+ customers, most of whom are based in Asia. Huawei, which demonstrated the new technology at an industry event in China last week, hopes to begin commercial service next year.
