Nintendo's Wii joins competitors in price rollbacks

Hoping to reverse sluggish sales as the holiday shopping season approaches, Nintendo is expected on Sunday to reduce the price of its Wii gaming console by $50, from the current $249 to $199. The move follows similar price-cutting steps by Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. Separately, the second generation of the Wii is expected sometime in 2011.
