Solar power tapped at Green Mountain facility

A 100 kilowatt-hour photovoltaic solar array is providing electricity for the Waterbury, Vt., distribution facility of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. "In addition to generating clean electricity for use in our facility, the array also demonstrates the feasibility of solar panels as a viable solution for producing power in Vermont," said the company's vice president of environmental affairs.
