Daily Economic Indicator: Recession ended in June 2009

The National Bureau for Economic Research has determined that the recession ended in June 2009. The body of economists found that the economy has been recovering since then, albeit slowly. The bureau tempered its report by saying its Business Cycle Dating Committee "did not conclude that economic conditions since that month have been favorable or that the economy has returned to operating at normal capacity."
