New Orleans airport will get scanners this year

Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans will soon join the growing list of U.S. airports with full-body scanners. DHS will install the scanners in New Orleans before the end of the year. Travelers who want to avoid the scanners will have the option of a pat down. While some travelers say they are not bothered by the scanners, which project an image of the traveler's entire body, others say the scanners raise privacy concerns.
